Pragma Computing

An independent lab working on the efficiency of inference in generative AI systems — across the application, framework, and kernel layers.

The initial focus centers on Apple Silicon, where we build Mac-native applications powered entirely by local models: inference efficiency put into practice as fast, private, self-contained software.

Pragma Computing was founded by Giridhar Murthy, a systems engineer whose work spans GPU compilers and runtimes at Apple, mobile performance at Meta, and AI infrastructure at Glean. He co-founded Little Eye Labs (acquired by Facebook, 2014) and Slang Labs, where he served as CTO.
